NTPC acronym National Thermal power corporation, is one of the esteemed organizations of the Government of INDIA. It is the 4th largest power producing organization in the entire ASIA. In 2008-2009 period NTPC announced around 1050 posts and already appointed 900 of them. This figure might go upto 1100 by the year end. To reach the target of 50,000 MW by the year 2012, NTPC needs heavy engineers, officers, non-executives both technical and non technical. 
“For every 4,000 MW we need around 1,600 people both executive and non-executive,” Shrivastava said adding that the 1,300 target is on very conservative side, it may be higher.
