Samsung star wifi or samsung star 3g phones are sleaky trendy phones in present generation with lot of features enabled in them. Though these phones come with bunch of applications, designs already installed, human mind likes to explore and add more features to this phone. Its really good to have our own customized themes installed on our favorite phone. So do u like to install some theme on your phone and show to your friends? why delay, lets rock.
I myself started liking it so badly that i cannot stop playing with it and add some new feature to it. Here is one of them, “the How to install theme on your samsung star GT-S5233, star 3G GTs5603, GT-s8003″. I found this after researching on net for couple of hours. thanks to kartik for sharing such an information with us.
Before starting our theme installation we shall follow strictly the below note point. 
NOTE: preserve the phone book contacts and important documents by taking back up. please dont complain me later avoiding this note point.I am not responsible if you mess up with your phone.
So now, lets start our experiment.
This is the default black theme that is available.
- Download softwares called TK FILE EXPLORER AND BITPIM
- connect your phone using usb cable.
- make sure that pc studio is not running and its not monitoring your device…. i.e. completely close it .
- open BitPim and follow the below commands (you can skip these steps if you want.)
- click on settings–> ComPort option would be there (5th option)
- –> click on browse
- –> then a “choose a comm port window will open
- –> in the available ports portion — search for SAMSUNG USB Mobile Modem
- –> click on that– then you can see its description down there…..
- –> scroll down and there you will see —-
- name COMXX (here XX can be any no. in every individual case as per you com) (in my case it is COM4)
- –> now note down this com port name.(just remember the port name )
- –>now without closing BitPim , open TK file explorer
- –>in TK file explorer , click on setting — COM
- –>then inside port option manually write the com name that you saw in BitPim
- –> click ok and then click file — connect
- your phone will be connected to TK file explorer.
- now download the nv_original.ini file that is taken from XEII4 firmware
- download it from here http://www.4shared.com/file/146853253/f5f85cf1/nv_original.html
- the link has been checked and works fine. it is file of ” Baltic ” folder. i have added the line that needs to be added to make the dark theme (black theme), so you just have to transfer the file .
- after this …… do these steps in TK file explorer–
- steps for this method –>
- connect your phone and connect to tk file explorer
- open systemFS –> settings –> preconfiguration –> Baltic –> NV –> put this file there.
- to put this file … you can see two windows in tk file ….. just on the upper window go wherever you have this file and drag down in the NV folder of Baltic
- After this close tkfile….. and disconnect phone.
- Do preconfig on the phone
- dial *#6984125*# –> Pre-connfiguration –> *#73561*# — > select Baltic.
- phone will restart and then u have dark theme on it.
- but if u change for red or green back, it will be gone, u will need to do Pre-configuration again to see it.
So if u like then just dont change it back to green or red.
Those who dont have baltic folder in their phones, follow these steps:
1. go to (using TKexplorer):
Phone –> systemFS –> settings –> preconfiguration –> Default –> NV –>
2. this folder should be empty.
copy the file: “nv_original.ini”
in this folder.
3. dial *#6984125*# (in keypad) –> Pre-configuration –> *#73561*# — >
here u should find a “default” option.
4.click on install, the phone will restart and ur new theme is installed.
I do not find Baltic folder, Even in default –> Nv —-> It is not empty folder, Afterall if i copy the file in it when i try to call *#6984125*# from my cell but i find error message “incorrect data” what should i do please surggest me!!!!!! waiting for ur reply!!!!
hey for screen guard its simple go buy filament which is used to tint glass of cars tere you will get filaments which could be used by cutting in to correct size and make sure dont stick heavy glue filament or dark tinted filament….

i have samsung star GT-S5233S, and i follow the steps above on how to install black theme for my samsung star..but unfortunately, nothing happens…!!!i still have my default theme, the green and red..!!!

i also buyed this phone. i read one of the users query about installing 3rd party softwares and games. i have a solution to it.
1.download lite ftp
2.upload to a website from where you can download it to your phone.
one of this site is http://www.davidpye.com
3.they will give you a code and remember url.
4.open your browser and download liteftp.jar the file you uploaded.
5.phone will install the sofware.
6.open menu->applications->games and more->liteftp.
7.connect phone to pc copy your jar and jad files in the phone anywhere but in a single folder.
8.run liteftp in your phone . go to mmc and then where you copied your game folder ,copy it and paste it in myfoldermymy something folder in the main menu of liteftp.
9.close the app, go to keypad *#5239870*#
10.choose “internals”
11.enter master code *#7092463*#
12. go to storage setting->update java database .
Exit it.
13.now go to menu->applications->games and more and enjoy your apps.

I have bought samsung star s5233 wifi,
This phone luks awesome bt of no use.
1. u cant install 3rd party software including games and any themes.
2.camera quality , get blurrred even with the slightest motion.
3.dont have flash.
4.No software support.
5.u will nt get screen guard for it.
So dnt buy it……………
