HRESULT:0×8007054F occurred|An error occurred while installing assembly components.

When installing your New PC Studio(NPS), If you get an error, “An error occurred while installing assembly components. HRESULT:0×8007054F”, then follow the simple steps and solve your problem.

STEP 1. Checking the installed sucurity updates for Windows and Windows Update items

When error “An error occurred while installing assembly components. HRESULT:0×8007054F” occurs, while installing New PC Studio, follow the steps below;

1) Check if the installed security updates for Windows are the latest available.

Go to Start, and Run Windows Update. (May require rebooting the PC.)

2) Check if Windows Update items are successfully installed.

XP:

① Go to Start.

② Go to Windows Update.

③ Review your update history, and check if each item’s installation has succeeded.

Vista:

① Go to Start.

② Go to Windows Update.

③ View update history, and check if each item’s installation has succeeded

If the status of an updated item is ‘failed,’ there is a problem with Windows.

STEP 2. Executing the two commands, and installing msxml.msi from the site below

3) Execute the two commands as below, and reboot your PC.

① Go to Start, and then Run.

② Enter “msiexec /qn /x {35343FF7-939B-401A-87B3-FF90A5123D88},” and click OK.

③ Go to Start, and then Run.

④ Enter “msiexec /qn /x {2AEBE10C-D819-4EBF-BC60-03BF2327D340},” and click OK.

Enter “msiexec /qn /x {2AEBE10C-D819-4EBF-BC60-03BF2327D340},” and click OK.

⑤ Restart the PC.

4) Close unnecessary processes.

• Before downloading and installing msxml.msi, end all unnecessary processes.

• If you are not sure which ones are unnecessary processes, download and install msxml.msi in the Safe mode. (Downloading msxml.msi is explained in the following.)

5) Download and install msxml.msi from the site below, and restart your computer.

STEP 3. Checking files related to msxml, and registering the msxml file

6) Check if files related to msxml exist in your computer.

• Check if the following three files, msxml4.dll, msxml4a.dll and msxml4r.dll are all in the folder, C:\Windows\System32.

• If msxml has been successfully installed, the files should exist in that folder.

7) Register the msxml file.

• If there is msxml4.dll:

Go to Start, and Run.

Enter Regsvr32 msxml4.dll, and click OK.

• If there is msxml5.dll:

Go to Start, and Run.

Enter Regsvr32 msxml5.dll, and click OK.

• If there is msxml6.dll:

Go to Start, and Run.

Enter Regsvr32 msxml6.dll, and click OK.

Enter Regsvr32 msxml6.dll, and click OK.

If a message stating that the registration is successfully completed appears, the task is successfully done.

8) Reinstall NPS.
