LG has unveiled the new GM 730 3G Smart Phone in India. The GM 730 was first announced in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress 2009 in February 2009. The new GM 730 is the first smart phone to use new version of Windows Mobile OS and is integrated with LG’s advanced 3D S-class User Interface.
The GM 730 is built around a 3D cube layout and the S class Interface provides four customizable home screens. The cube can be turned from one side to another by a flick of the finger. Nested menus are eliminated and direct access is provided to the features and applications. The web experience will be enhanced by Internet Explorer 6 and the access to E Mail is also simplified.
The TFT Touch Screen is 3″ and is resistive in responsiveness. It has a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels and has 65K colors.

LGEIL collaborated with Qualcomm to launch the most awaited smartphone in the country GM730. Based on Qualcomms MSM 7201A chipset, the GM730 is the latest offering by LG, with 3D S class user interface and convenience of Windows Mobile. GM730 is LGs expansion of its touch screen portfolio into smartphone category offering two step easy e-mail setup, faster downloads through 3G and host of other features.
Realising the potential of the Smartphone market in the country, LG invested in a specialised team of people who could understand the consumer requirements which finally resulted into LG GM730. The company targets a 20% share in the touch screen mobile segment, taking the total revenue from the mobile communication division higher by 15%
